Susan has owned horses and dogs most of her life, so when she began taking photographs professionally, specializing in animals was the natural fit. She derives great pleasure in capturing the beauty of the equine form in all its varieties, from a majestic draft stallion, to a Thoroughbred race horse, to a small pony. She is grateful for the photographs that she has of pets that are gone and regretful of those who passed without photographic record. Providing those cherished memories to other pet lovers is a huge joy. She is extremely proud to donate photographs to Fauquier SPCA and Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation as well as to participate in TRF Montpelier’s Art at the Barn fundraiser and silent auctions benefiting animal rescue.
